Anyone else exhausted?

I finally started feeling good about 6 weeks ago and all of the sudden in the past week I have just been so tired. Before I a week ago I was hardly sleeping at all and had insomnia but I still had energy to clean the house and run errands. Now I am actually sleeping as much as my bladder will allow which is great but I am tired all day long. I feel bad because DH and I are in the middle of rearranging our apartment and doing the "big clean" before DD comes and I just can't seem to do anything but lay around and go to work(sometimes). I am already taking and iron supplement and I think I am getting about 50-70 grams of protein a day.

just keep in mind that it's temporary...do up ur protein if you're feeling sluggish. and rest whenever you can...you can do this! it's just going to take patience and maybe a few good friends who are willing to help!

I had this happen last weekend and beginning of this week...
Then I noticed I had gained 3 lbs really quick. I think it was my body having a 'growth spurt' and I needed more rest--so listen to your body! (and your bladder! )

yeah, I couldn't figure out why I was so tired till I got in the scale and had gained 8 pounds in 3 weeks. I had only gained 7lbs before that so I guess baby is just getting caught up. Hope it slows down sometime soon. I would like to be able to do some laundry, well, my family would like me to do some laundry.

I am completely dragging. I think I need an iron supplement. I hadn't thought of that.

Regarding laundry...when I finally did feel up to it again, I had to do it over a course of two days, and did like 6 full loads each day!

At least my Dh carried it all back upstairs

I've gotten to a new stage of tired too. Sleeping w/ ds in the afternoon, i so want to stay up & get things done but physiclly just cant. At night my bladder wakes me up every 2 1/2 hours, 3 if i'm lucky & I've got insomnia after 3:30pm if i wake up. Just doing what i can for now. ONly a few more weeks

yep, I think I finally hit the wall on Thursday. Couldn't sleep at all, couldn't get comfortable without my hips or knees starting to throb, then once I did manage to get comfy I had to pee. Over and over, thursday and last night. I really am just about ready to be done with this whole pregnancy thing.

Oh do I hear you!!! Between the exhaustion, the stress over the pre-term contrax and maybe have a preemie, the meds I'm taking for the contrax, not being able to walk upstairs or take a shower with contracting, it sucks. :

I am just so freaking ready to be done!!!

I can only sleep well during the day, at night I get so uncomfortable! All I want to do all day is sleep and all I want to do all night is clean! :

I know, isn't the preterm stuff jsut such torture?! I've sat here praying for the past month that this pumpkin will stay put and bake more, but at the same time my body is so tired and just screaming for it to be over. It's torture. I feel badly for wanting it to be over, because I KNOW it's too early, and since this guy has already made several efforts to come out, I really should just be thinking constantly about keeping him in. it sucks, indeed!

Yup I am exhausted. I hear ya'll when you talk about getting little sleep d/t getting up to the bathroom all the time.
I've been having backpain on and off. and just dragggg each day. I take my pre-natal vitamin daily. but haven't been taking any other supplements.
I cannot wait to give birth and have my body try to get back to normal.
I also hadn't gained much (like 10 lbs) and then all of a sudden i gained 6 lbs in 3 weeks. Hah. baby is catching me up.

I'm dragging big time as well. I keep planning to do projects each day, I am not getting anything actually done. Alot of time is spend resting on the couch. We've all been sick this week so that hasn't helped either.

I've been really dragging lately. I even had my iron and thyroid check just to see if that was the problem. Everything was fine though. So I must just be growing a baby that's wearing me out. I just have never been this worn out before. Usually I'm a bundle of nesting energy at this point. I do think it's a cold that's been lingering for a few weeks. So hopefully that will completely pass so I can get stuff done soon.
Oh, yes, exhausted is a good word for it.

My brain keeps wanting to do all this nesting, but my body just laughs and falls back down on the couch. It's ridiculous!

I was going to ask the same question but I see I'm not alone either!! I have a ton to do before baby arrives yet I can barely manage to get off the couch at times to clean up or even make lunch for my DD. I feel so bad cause then it's allowing way too much tv time for her.

Then like now it's 3:00 AM and I haven't been able to get my mind to rest from after getting up to pee again. I think the stress is building up as to things not being done and not prepared for the labor this time around.

Where's that nesting energy I so need it.

Yes, me too! I am waaaay behind on all the things I want/need to do before the baby comes, and I can't even start because of how tired I am all the time.... and the funny thing is is that I don't even have much couch time, it seems like I am always doing errands or forever helping dd with something... I would love for some couch time if only to feel like I was doing something right (like taking care of myself for the baby's sake). How do you all do it with other kids?

I gained 6 pounds in 2 weeks. Usually I have been doing the pound a week gain so maybe that has something to do with it too.
