Anyone seen Doogal??

Has anyone seen Doogal? Ds saw it at the movie rental place and wants to watch it. He is 4.5 yo and very sensitive to anything that might be even a little scary. Is there anything in it that might be questionable? Any reviews would be appreciated!

My kids saw it and enjoyed it. My 7 y.o. ds says nothing in it scared him.

You should check out Kids In Mind. They don't review movies for artistic value. According to their web site,

we do not assign an inscrutable rating based on age, but 3 objective ratings for SEX/NUDITY, VIOLENCE/GORE, and PROFANITY on a scale of 0 to 10. We also explain in detail why a film rates high or low in a specific category, and we include instances of SUBSTANCE USE, a list of DISCUSSION TOPICS that may elicit questions from kids and MESSAGES the film conveys

It's a useful web site. I think Kama'aima Mama recommended it to me! The only problem I have with it is that sometimes a violent scene described out of context reads worse than it really is on screen.

My 3 yo old watches it sometimes. He is fine with it but there is an evil character and some dark, chasing scenes. But it has Jon Stewarts voice so it's ok by me: .

Some parts are scary if you have sensitive kid.
We saw it at a free screening this summer and it was excessively annoying IMO. Lots of dumb jokes.

my dd also v. sensitive has watched it. and enjoyed it. we watched it with another family at home so she was ok with it. more braver should i say.

would never be able to do it at the movie theater though. she would be too scared.

We rented it for the kids last week. While I didn't like it at all, I wouldn't say that it was in any way scary for my super sensitive 5yo DS.
