Hello.
Ray and I are expecting #1 in early June. I'll be 42 then; Ray 45. We had a miscarriage at 10 wks last May and are hoping this one will hang on. We've also decided to wait before announcing this time, so it's especially nice to have some company.

Yeah, we moved the beginning of June to Monterey, CA. We wanted to be closer to family, my family lives down in southern Cali and DH's family lives here in Monterey. We used to live here before we moved to pdx. Plus we were having a hard time financially in pdx, dh just couldn't get his business going and down here he was gauranteed immediate work... So sad that we left pdx, but Monterey is so beautiful, too. And it's been nice being closer to family, especially with #2 on the way!!

Im Eileen. I just turned 27. DF is Geoff and hes 28. Together we have Greg 4.5, Jacklynn my stepdaughter is 18 months,and the twins Hunter and Kolton are 9 months old.
As of right now we are due June 1st but we have an early ultrasound on the second of October due to previous losses and to check for multiples so the due date may change.

Hello all!

I'm in total shock that I'm joining you all! I found out at work today (couldn't wait to test) and am still digesting the news. I'm 34 and have a wonderful BF and a fabulous 8 year old son. We were going to wait until next year but like someone else said, I totally miscalculated the big O.
So, here I am..and wow...
and I'm scared and nervous too...I so wish we were better of financially...sigh.

Hello, ladies! I'm Sarah (age 30) and DH is Judson (age 31). We've been married since spring of 2000 and have a 16 month old daughter.

We weren't trying and were honestly thinking we'd wait another year to try for #2, but DH and I got a little carried away one evening, so here I am. Honestly, I'm happy to be here, but still quite surprised!

We're planning a homebirth this time around and I'm really excited about that. DD was born in the hospital and I'll always regret that a little. I'm also embarking on the journey of nursing during pregnancy and hoping that DD and her younger sibling will tandem nurse.

Congrats and best of luck to everyone here! I look forward to getting to getting to know you ladies in the coming months.

Hello. I'm just going through all the threads and posting away today...

I'm (almost)31 as is my husband. We've been happily married for ten years and we have three kids- our boys are 7 1/2 and 2 1/2 and our daughter is 5. We are both teachers- him, middle school social studies, and me at my in-home Waldorf nursery school- so I thought we would just try in Sept and Oct and see if we could get a summer baby so we could all be together before school started up again in the fall. And it worked on the first try! Our other kids were conceived at the thought of them, too, so I don't know why I am surprised, but I'm feeling so very blessed that it worked!

I have studied midwifery for years and was an apprentice attending births for 2 years. For my last birth I was really into taking responsibility for the experience and had to convince my midwives to let me do things like put the baby hat on the baby and wrap the baby in blankets myself...I just didn't get why they were confused by my request! I researched a lot about unassisted birth and was really inspired by what I saw and read. Our son was born into our hands and our midwives just watched. So this time around I'm not sure what to do...my son had some complications (not birth-related) immediately postpartum, so I know that sometimes people need help, but I can't ignore my intuition that this baby (a strong girl, I sense by my dreams) and I are going to be just fine. I am thinking of just having some friends as support and having a family birth. Luckily I have a lot of time to think about it!

Anyway, glad to have a place of understanding in this pregnancy...i don't have any friends who are pregnant. In fact, most of my friends' husbands have undergone surgery to prevent more children in the last couple of years! I love my husband oodles for giving our family another baby!!!!

Hi everyone!

Wow, I didn't expect to be here! O was 10 days earlier than in any of my past cycles for the past 5 years, and I tested + yesterday and today. I'm due mid-June, and happy to meet you all! I'm 25, a teacher of students who are blind or visually impaired. I love my job. DH have been married for almost 5 years, and he is VERY excited... we were going to ttc in Feb... I guess things are a few months ahead of schedule! No one IRL knows yet, except DH and I. Nice to meet you all!

Is anyone else in a bit of a pickle over their due date? Mine is June 8; my sister's wedding is June 9 in another country. I'm supposed to be the maid of honour... but now I don't think I'll be able to go! And we haven't told anyone IRL yet; we're waiting until Nov. Anyhoo... still keeping it on the QT for now...

I was born and raised in Mass, Stoughton Mass. I just moved to SE FL two years ago. I just got back from viiting family and friends up in MA a few days ago (I found out I was preg while there) and the weather is so beautiful up there now. I miss it. What part are you from? (if you don't mind me asking)
