tuna allergy?

How common is this? After I eat tuna, my throat feels funny. It feels a little thicker and is a little sore. But this does not happen everytime I eat tuna. Today it seemed a little worse and now I feel like I could vomit. Any help is appreciated.

BTW, every since I stopped eating gluten, more foods seem to bother me. Overall I feel better but the list of problem foods seems to be growing.

Canned tuna? Raw tuna? Cooked tuna steaks?

Could it be an additive? Most canned tuna contains a variety of additives.

And fish allergies are pretty common. You can be allergic to specific varieties or all of 'em.

jocelyndale,
Thanks for responding. We eat canned tuna from trader joes and I always buy the same kind. The package only list water and tuna. I use mayo, mustard, salt and some basil when I make it. I haven't had a problem with these things. It just seems crazy that ever since going gluten free alot of foods are bothering me.

It sounds exactly like my allergic rxns to melon (cantelope, honeydew, and now watermelon). My DH gets this rxn - including vomiting - to almost every raw vegetable. However, I have never heard of it happening with tuna, or any meat, for that matter.
