Well, my husband can't do it and he *is* taking bel canto lessons. He has a gorgeous voice.

His teacher tells me she could teach me because I have high cheekbones. I've never been known for my voice . . . That said, bel canto is a technique, a skill. Talent is important, but the skill is the really important part.

I frequently act out my dreams, waking my husband insisting that there are strange people or monsters hiding in our closet or rodents climbing our curtains or insects on the bed. Once I got mad at him for breaking the legs off of the "blanket spiders", they were very delicate and were spinning our warm and cozy blankets. Another time he woke me up with "intentions" and I told him we couldn't because the twins were watching. When he asked what twins, I said "uh, your DAUGHTERS" We didn't have any children together then, and his child is a boy. Yup, I am really weird in my sleep.

I have weird dreams sometimes too. I got one helluva bruise one time trying to run away from spiders in a dream. I got out of bed run down the hall and into the living room wall, all asleep, screaming hysterically.

Japan's my one disappointment with this pregnancy... my husband and I were planning to visit friends in Himeji this March and now won't be able to travel. I'm trying to talk J into going during January or February without me because after the baby, it'll be harder for either of us to travel internationally for awhile.
