what are the reasons for not ovulating?

putting pregnancy, the pill etc aside, what are the potencial reasons one's body is not ovulating?

TCOYF lists: stress, illness, over exercising, body weight, travel, and more serious conditions like pituary gland problems, thyroid issues, and PCOS.

besides those already mentioned: certain ovarian cysts can also prevent ovulation... and menopause, of course.
Everyone gets an anovulatory cycle every now and then for no good reason, it's pretty normal. If it happens all the time, you should probably ask your doc about it.

There can also be issues with eggs not maturing at the correct rate, testosterone, prolactin, DHEA-s issues as well.
