Was anyone elses baby born with teeth?

I'm wondering if anyone else has ever had a baby born with teeth? My son was born with his bottom two teeth. He is almost 4 now and those two teeth are discolored a little (also crooked when he was born). When he was born, a nurse told me that he would HAVE to have them pulled. She said they were "milk teeth" and were just extra. But when I took him to our family dentist, they did an X-ray and they were his actual baby teeth and did not need to be pulled.
A lady I know had a daughter born with a tooth, but it fell out when she was about 3 months old.
So..anyone else had this unusual experience? If so, are your child's teeth crooked because of it? How about the permanent teeth that came in?

Yes, my 2nd son was born with teeth. I didn't even know it could be an issue, we never had them looked at by a pediatric dentist, and we would NEVER have had them removed.

His teeth are nice and straight, but those two teeth on the bottom are very worn and discolored. He's almost 5 now, so they've been around a long time!

Well, from what the nurse said.. "milk teeth" are just extra and you are suppose to have a dentist make sure they are really baby teeth because milk teeth tend to get loose and fall out, which the baby can aspairate into the lungs and have severe problems. Other than that, I don't think there are really any other problems..except our son had a bad time of accidentally biting his tounge as a small baby because of the teeth.
I'm thinking my son will need braces anyways because of his little mouth and over crowding (his daddy and I both had that problem) but I wonder why his baby teeth would come out crooked? lol

I was born with teeth and everything was normal. They fell out at the normal time and my permanent teeth are normal, too. they were never too crooked though either, maybe I was lucky. I never had a problem...

Ha Kristin! I was surprised as well! I'd never heard of such a thing and the doctor didn't even mention it...I was nursing him in the hospital 3 days later when he yawned real big and I FREAKED out lol.

ds1 had two teeth at age 8weeks...he was born teething but not with teeth ....

My friend was born with teeth (and born bum first!). She was freaking out in nursery school because one of her teeth fell out and she didn't know what to do and thought she was going to have no teeth.
