Cramps anyone?

Thread Starter
I've been having cramps all week and its starting to worry me. The cramps are different from period cramps but just as intense. A few nights ago they woke me up at 2:00 am. They come and go and usually hurt more when I lay down. I know cramping is normal during pregnancy, and as a doula I hear about pregnant mamas cramping all the time, but I can't help but worry. Is anyone else crampy too?

Yup, much crampiness here. But I had that last time, too, and all was well...

Me too. Like you, they kept me awake : Always worse at the end of a long day on my feet, like on the weekends, when I'm chasing DD around. I'd lie down to put her to bed, and I just have this intense throbbing, crampiness in my pelvic area : But after lying down for a while, the cramps went away, and I'd feel fine in the a.m. - until I was on my feet again : These past 2 days I've been at work, mostly sitting, and no cramps It'll be interesting if they come back on my days off! I had them during #1, and don't worry, they are perfectly normal Little one may only be the size of a grain of rice, but you are busy building a placenta, and a growing uterus pulls ligaments.

Yes, I've had them too. Funny, I don't recall having this the first time around tho.....then again, that was 9 years ago!

I am so glad you said that Jilian! I have been super crampy - ranging from dull ache to throbbing to (rarely) a sharp pain. It seems to be worse when I am sitting still for a long time or laying down, so I try to move around. Weird- kind of the opposite of tuscany... But I have been up for at least 3-4 hours every night since I tested bfp!

I've been crampy until today. Today's not so crampy. I was really crampy during my 2nd pregnancy...

I've also been really crampy. More so than with my first. They almost feel like ligament pains, but it seems so early.

ditto

Yes, I've felt them too--on and off ever since O. For awhile I was sure AF was coming even though I never had pre-AF cramps before the first time I got pregnant. After the miscarriage every little twinge worries me I bit. I'm trying to stay relaxed and positive. Nice thing is I'm also nauseous on and off. Never thought I'd be thrilled to feel like throwing up.

Mostly a fullness and a "stretchy" feeling more than actual crampiness. . . but yes, it's normal, and yes, I think it freaks EVERYONE out a little, esp. the first time around!
