Sigh. I need to vent where people won't think I'm a total loon.

My dd is driving me crazy. I am just a big boob. She nurses a bajillion times a day. On a good day. She goes crazy if I even ask her to wait. In the span of one hour-long TV show tonight I nursed her at LEAST 4-5 times. She dictates where and in what position we nurse (nurse on COUCH! NO pillows!)

Yep. She's working on 2 yr molars. And she was sick on Sunday, so she's probably a little off still.

The poor other moms at playgroup (an AP playgroup mind you, where the few other toddlers are nearly all nursing- all that are under 3 are....) ask if ALL 2 yr olds nurse that much. We'll be there for 2 hours max and she'll nurse 4-5 times.

that's all. No great solutions. No advice really needed. Just some sympathy.

(I DID buy it...last week...it "wants a friend" though!)

"I want a smoothie NOW!...I HATE THIS SMOOTHIE!...WHY did you throw my smoothie away, I WANT IT!"

"I wanna go to the arcade...no I want a dollar with a zero, I want more tokens!"

"I want tootsie rolls because - I CAN HAVE WHATEVER I WANT TO!"

...still think you have it rough?

Hey, that should at least SLIGHTLY lighten the load & make ya feel better!

I hear ya. I take DD to playgroup and she will easily nurse that many times while we are there. It's a small playgroup and my DD is the only one still nursing--she's 2.5.

Jenna was like that at 2... then she self weaned at 2.5... go figure. It's not easy, but it's over before you know it, or even really want it to be. Ok, that's not quite true... when in the middle of it, I desperatly wanted it to be over. It was only after she weaned that I missed it.

I hear ya... my ds have gone through that same stage at various ages... it does get better... at least in our case... well... I hope...
We are in the same position right now so I will tell myself that over and over again....

they can drive you you crazy at times huh?!

Anyways.... we're here... vent as much as you need to...

Gawd, I've so been there. My kid is that kid.

All I can say is yeah, I hear you, it's hard sometimes. It does get less frequent. Teething is hard, and that two year old stage is so freaking bossy combined with baby-needy. Hence the constant nursing combined with the demands about where and how.

This isn't REALLY about nursing. It's about parenting. Parenting a clingy, teething 2yo is hard work, and it's frustrating, and it tests every ounce of patience you posess, and it isn't always fun.

I hear ya! Sometimes when I feel this way it helps to have a little time to myself. If dh can watch the kids while I take a walk by myself for 45 minutes I feel much better.
