Had a STAT quant drawn just now..........they are concerned about my levels jumping so quick, and lack of anything on the ultrasound.....Ill update in about 2 hours when I get the results

Last Friday, my number was 90 and on Monday it was 393. Now, I really don't know exactly how far along I am..... I had some sort of a period starting 9/15, so if you count that as LMP I'm due 6/20/07. But, I'm older, my cycles are wacky, and I have no idea when I O'd (since I have had NO ovulatory signs for months) or when conception occured!

We go for an ultrasound tomorrow to see if we can see anything. I'll keep ya posted!!!

Can I ask what is a 'quant'? I'm in Canada and as far as I know we don't do this so routinely??
I asked a walk-in clinic Dr. today to get my blood tested for FSH (I think) is that what you all are talking about?

Pealette- A quant is a quantitative beta HCG. A urine pregnancy test detects HCG in urine and A QUALITATINE Hcg detects it in blood and tells you if you are pregnant or not- More of a positive or negative result. A QUANTITATIVE hcg tells you exactly how much of the hormone is in your blood. In the first few weeks of a normal pregnancy Hcg should double every 48-72 hours. If not it could be an indication that something is wrong with the pregnancy.

I knew I was going to miscarry my last pregnancy because my quant went from 72 to 89 then back down to 35 before I started bleeding. This time it went from 994 to 2270 in 48 hours. It was nice to have that reassurance!!
