Faint Blue Lines

Hello all
I think I may be preggo. I have taken two tests and the one line on the positive is very faint, but definatley there. I am only a couple of days late but I have been feeling really queasy and have lots of extra salivia. (yuck!)
I was not at all queasy or sick with my previous pregnancies so this is new to me. Anyone else have a faint positive? Could that mean hormone levels are low or could it be the test?

My first test was faint too but any line is a line so celebrate! You can try testing again in a couple of days and most likely it will be darker.

What kind of test are you taking? Go to peeonastick.com and look up the accuracy of your test. In my experience a positive is a positive, no matter how faint. As long as the test line is the same color as the control line, then it would count as a positive. If the test line is more grey-ish then it could be an evaporation line.

With my last pregnancy I never got more than a faint positive, and that was only after 15 mins or so. In July I got a faint positive at 10 and 11 days past ovulation (but went on to have a m/c). This time I got a faint positive at 12 DPO and each day I tested the line got darker. Yesterday was the first day that the test line was as dark as the control line.

I'd say wait a day and test again. If you can go in for a blood test do that. Good luck!

I too had faint lines. I waited and tested a few days later and got a darker line. I would say a line is a line so congratulations!

Just joining the pack here. Both last time and this time the lines were *very* faint to begin with. To the point that I had to make DH look at them to confirm that I wasn't just imagining them. Wait two days and test again - the line should be much darker (though not necessarily as dark as the control) and/or use a more sensitive test. First Response Early Result has the lowest required levels of hormone of any of the drugstore brands. (Others may be the same, but none are more sensitive.)

Congrats on your line, no matter how faint!

My fave tests are the test strips from saveontests.com According to peeonastick.com they are the most sensitive brand out there. I got a faint pos with them and a neg with FRER. BUT, these tests do ship from Canada and take a while to arrive so you're probably better off waiting a day or so and taking a FRER test. Let us know how the next test goes!

Thanks for the info.
I also had to get DH to look at the first line to make sure I was not imagining it. I used a drugstore brand. I will be out today and pick up another test.
I 'll probably test again in a couple of days.
