Should I pump?

I'm having all 4 wisdom teeth extracted (sedation) next week. And will be on some sort of narcotic afterwards.
Should I pump and dump for DD (1 yr)?

You shouldn't need to. Moms who have c-sections nurse immediately after on all sorts of drugs, and those are newborns.

I was thinking the same thing. I told the Oral Surgeon that, and he pretty much said

"Well it's not exactly safe (for moms to take narcotics when breastfeeding a newborn), but they do it anyways."

What was that all about???

He's making me feel like if I don't wean her now, that I am risking something by continuing to breastfeed after the surgery. :
