Considering starting EC with 7 month old son - have ?s

What signs do I need to watch for with him ?

I know he usually is peeing after a nap, or first thing in the morning. His bms are very irregular.

We CD full time right now.

I have a little plastic potty.

We are moving soon to a fully carpeted place, so diaper-free is NOT an option for us.

How should I go about this, if I decide to do it at all ?

I went diaper free with my 10 month old only for about 3 days. It was kind of stressfull. My DD wears a CD all day, I just take it off when she goes potty and then put it back on (dry).

I would start with taking him to the potty whenever he wakes up, that way he'll soon start to realize what the potty is for.
