binkin I am glad I found this forum as well. I hope you find all that you need to help you on your journey. I did find that motherisk.org was a good resource and have passed it on to my cousin to work with her psychiatrist with. It's definitely worthwhile to check out plus these mama's have tons of good reading resources to share so I would check those out too. Again I hope you find what you need and glad you found your way to MDC. Welcome

Another thing to consider is from what I have been told by the pdocs I have seen is that there is evidence that if a person benefits from Lithium, but then discontinues it, it may not work as well, or even work at all, when they re-start it.

That is really powerful to me, as it took 10 years for me to get the right diagnosis, and Lithium has so far been an excellent mood stabilizer for me. There is just no way I would go off it (whether for pregnancy or any other reason)and having it not work when I wanted to go back on it.
