An Unsuspected Victory

Yesterday was quite strange. I was having an MSN conversation with a friend of mine who I had not spoken to (or, at least, typed to) for a while and somehow or other we got around to talking about his boyfriend. I informed him of my lonely envy but he told me that things were less than perfect: apparently he was being treated more as a guy who he occasionally went out with than as a proper partner.

And then he brought up, totally unprompted, the fact that his boyfriend was circumcised.

So naturally my intactivism activated and we started talking about it, my friend was very discontended indeed with this state of affairs. I was pretty suprised that a British guy had ended up cut but apparently the fellow was of Jewish heritage although he does not share those beliefs himself. Naturally his objections at 8 days old were disregarded. He also came from America, where my friend mentioned rates were a little higher ""Because its healthier" *rolls eyes*"

When I told him they were as high as 50% he was pretty astounded and then when I told him in the '80s they had been around 80% even more so, especially when I told him I meant 1980s not 1880s...

So anyway, with regards to his sadly circumcised friends I provided the imperative "FRC him!" He was, naturally, a bit baffled so I gave him a link to the Foreskin Restoration Chat website which he clicked on, was suprised by and told me he would show his bf while he said that I had corrupted him so much he was looking through methods.

No idea if it will work, or if his bf will even bother reading it, but it was definetely worth a go and I was pretty suprised that I got a chance to.

My friend also told me something else which I found fascinating: apparently his own parents actually considered circumcising him too (why precisely is a puzzle to me, he told me that he was unsure why but I suspect some faux medical reason, RIC in Britain is dead and buried and has been for half a century) but were deterred when they heard/witnessed one being performed upon another boy. Bearing that in mind they decided against and my friend was immensely grateful.

Having heard the audio of some footage of one almost all the way through on one occasion (I closed my eyes so I was forced to fumble to reach the speakers) I find that quite understandable...
