Prenatal vitamins are not my friend...

LOL...I have been feeling great so far--no nausea, nothing. Except in the morning if I take my prenatal vitamin. I take twin labs OTC prenatals (and have for the last 2 1/2 years straight) because they're gluten free (I have Celiac) and somewhat natural. But for the last 2 days, my breakfast doesn't stay down because I take the vitamins with breakfast... Ack.

Anyone else having a love-hate relationship with their prenatals?

Have you tried taking them at night instead? When I was preg w/DS the pharmacist suggested taking them at night instead of in the morning so I did. They don't make me too sick. Mornings didn't work out so well for me.

That happened to me with my first pregnancy. I was told to take a children's chewable instead of a prenatal for the first couple of months.

My prenatals made me sooo ill the first time around. i think it was the iron. So I switched to target brand and have never gone back. You could take your regular vitamin and simply supplement with a good diet (lots of leafy greens etc.) and I bet you'd be better of than with the vitamins!

I second taking them at night, it's been working for me. Though I've developed an annoying gag reflex with that huge pill all of a sudden!

Taking them at night may not work--I'm also on 400 mg of prometrium (progesterone) at night which also makes me pukey. I'm actually anemic (because of my Celiac, I have poor iron absorption which makes me anemic a lot). So, I have to take a vitamin with a decent supply of iron (actually just a couple weeks ago, I finally was able to stop taking the pure iron supplements...) I guess I'll just have to down the preggie pop drops right after the vitamins--I actually have to take 2 prenatal pills, so maybe I'll try splitting them.

It's so weird--they didn't make me sick with Ryland...(hard to tell with Brandon...I took prescription ones and I had hyperemesis with him so anything got puked up. LOL!)
