I feel sick...

I know a woman who is due with her third boy in 2 weeks. They know they are having a boy. They are going to circ him. She circ-ed her others.

If she were the sole decision-making force I think she would do the right thing and not circ this time around. However, her husband is an ignorant oaf and he insists.

I've tried to talk to her about this. She submits to her husband. He won't hear anything about it. These people are acquaintances - actually the hubby is the brother of a good friend of mine.

What can/should I do?? Is there anything?? This is making me so incredibly sad and angry.

Advice?:

I'm sorry, mama. It's really hard, isn't it. Sometimes there's nothing you can do, if they won't open their minds to hear the information.

Sometimes you just can't do anything. Would she be up to reading this article? http://www.udonet.com/circumcision/v...ty_of_men.html

Ugh, it makes me sick when woman say "oh, well I left that decision up to my husband". Like the fact that the father has a penis makes the child any less the mother's child. :

Honestly, I think its just an excuse and don't want to feel like it was their fault. :

I agree. Protect your babies, dammit!

Maybe Penn & Teller could work for the husband?

It seems to have a really high success rate, in fact come to think of it I have never heard of it failing with a man...

Thanks - I'll try that too. I'll try almost anything at this point! Keep that little baby in your thoughts. I'll let you know what happens.
