bf, pg, and progesterone?

Hey all,
I have a friend who is about 5 wks pg, bfind a 5 month old, and in need of supplementing with progesterone for her baby in the making...
anyway, she is concerned about how prometrium could affect her supply to her 5 month old, but also concerned of course of her 'low' levels of progesterone for the pregnancy.

any advice?thx!

I don't know anything about prometrium or supplementing progesterone. But, if she is concerned about it affecting her supply, it may be a moot point. The majority of women's milk supplies drop during pregnancy anyway, so the prometrium may not even be the problem.
I got pregnant this time at the exact same time as your friend--5 wks along when DS was 5 months. I'm now 3 1/2 months along (16 wks), don't have much milk at all, and am just trying the SNS to supplement. Wish her luck for me! If she would like my email or anything, please pm me... I've been dying to talk to others who are going through or have been through the same thing.

Some woman take the mini pill that is progesterone and sitll have supply issues some do not. Her being pg is gonna be a bigger factor I would think. I was on depo provera which is mostly progesterone and had a oversupply but I was not pg.
