I think my best friend is on her way to becoming an intactivist! For those of you who remember, I posted the other day that she told me I'd won her over because she had just slept with an intact guy for the first time and now she knew first-hand the functions of the foreskin. Well, she called me today and we started talking about it. She admitted that she had her son circ'd with NO research and we talked for a while about some of the functions of the foreskin. I explained restoration to her (she'd never heard of it) and what can and cannot be restored through the process. We also talked about the MGM bill, why circ is technically illegal (though it's not enforced), and the FGM Act of 1994. She was totally shocked at the amount of info I had, but she seemed very interested and eager to learn.
