texas delayed vax ?

anyone know if you can get just one vax at a time if you are having vax's done by the public health clinic?

Will they give you a hard time over it?

My DD's pedi's office is horrible with vax's {mismixes them, gives too much/too little, etc} - so as far as they are concerned we are not vax'ing at all.

It may vary a little from one clinic to the next throughout the state but I know that in the Dallas area, the policy is all or nothing except that you can choose not to get hep A if your child isn't in preK or daycare. I think there would be very few that would allow selective vaxing because it's considered a missed opportunity & that doesn't reflect well on them when they're audited.

Hmmm, since TX has such a liberal exemption process now, I don't know why you couldn't. You're allowed to opt out of any vaccine, so I would think that they would have to respect that.

You can take your exemption form with you & give it a shot but expect a hard time - they're viewing it as missed opportunity. I haven't yet had a patient come in with an exemption form so I don't know how that would be handled. Also know they'll want you on ImmTrac.
