Gum abcesses?

Thread Starter
I have had some gum abcesses for a LONG time. Ever since I was 4-5 months pregnant with dd. She is 16 months old now. They have never given me any trouble until a couple days ago. Now they hurt. They're like cysts on my gums. I'm pretty sure they're gum abcesses. Thankfully my teeth don't hurt, just my gums.

So I looked it up on the internet, and it's really scary. Everything I found says that I'll have to have a bunch of root canals or they'll have to extract my teeth. Then, there's the risk of infection spreading to other parts of my body. I have MVP, so I'm worried about this.

I do NOT want to go to the dentist. I haven't been able to find much of anything about treating it naturally. I have taken it upon myself to treat it, and was wondering if you all would tell me what you think. This is what I starting doing yesterday, and will continue to do:

-Brushing my teeth really well every time I eat.
-Flossing (which I NEVER do)
-Rinsing my mouth out with peroxide 3 times/day, making sure to get the abcesses really well.
-Applying colloidal silver to the abcesses topically 3 times/day.
-Taking 1600mg/day of echinacea.
-I drink kombucha regularly, which is a probiotic in itself, but I'm going to buy another probiotic to take also.

Does anyone else know of anything else I should do? Or anything I'm doing that I shouldn't be? Does anyone have any experience treating these naturally? Thank you for any advice you can give me.

I get them occasionally and I just rinse as much as possible with Listerine and they go away.

yeah like your brain...

go to the dentist, there are treatments it might not be an absess, and there are other treatments like antiboitics, mouthwashes, etc.

I'd say for starters:
1. clean your teeth, baking soda, get tongue scraper.
2. Mouth wash = peroxide
3. Washcloth on gums just to remove dead skin bacteria

I also like ginger when I get mouth sores (had braces off recently)
You might also want to try vinegar to change mouth ph balance

But if the absess is from infected tooth its got to go.

you need high vitamin c as well in large amounts

but I do know a nurse who had a patient in a coma and once they pulled her teeth she came out infection in the mouth isn't something to take lightly but try and if you see improvement continue but if its a hardy abcess then you will need the experts

I know it isn't something to take lightly. That's why I'm trying to take care of it. It's not from infected teeth. My teeth don't hurt at all. If the teeth start to hurt, I'll go to the dentist. Thanks for the responses. Please keep them coming.

Peroxide is a miracle for gum/teeth problems. I swear by it.

Just saw that my thread was bumped, so I guess I'll update. Abcesses are gone. Ever since then when I have felt them starting to come back I just use Listerine and they go away again.
