Riley finally arrived........

Riley James arrived on Friday Sept. 29 at 5:44 a.m.

Weight: 7lbs 8oz
length: 21"
apgars of 8 and 9

After tons of prodromal labor, "active" labor was fast and furious and he was nearly born into the hands of a nurse/clergy as my doctor hadn't arrived yet. Of course, I dilated from 4-10 in 10 minutes-so nobody (including me) had any time to prepare for his birth. Somehow, I managed to not deliver until the doctor arrived-but my body had been pushing on it's own for about 30 minutes at that point.......

It feels good to have the wait over, huh? Congrats to you and your family! We will have to catch up and compare labor stories. Take care and get some rest!
