I don't want to imagine it!! I wish you LOTS of luck! Can't wait to hear the story upon your return.

We leave tomorrow to visit the in-laws in Savannah and go to a wedding at Edisto, so i'm torn between trepidation and excitement. My in-laws are... well... vitriolic? I keep having nightmares that my MIL drops the baby or throws the baby or hides the baby under a potted plant. Wish us luck.
Ugh. In-laws. I feel for you. Good luck!

Wow! We're flying cross country next week to introduce Erin to her great-grandparents. It must be travel season for our August babies!!! I'm TERRIFIED about the 5 hour flight w/ my grumpy baby... baby I'll just nurse her for 5 hours & buy some new nipples in California!

I wish you all luck on your trips! Wow, you are brave ladies

Eloise isn't much of a talker, but man, when Iris gets in her face to strike up a conversation Eloise will start babbling away! It's so cute. I love that her big sissy is the only one who can get her talking

Hi everybody!

I read alot in the middle of the night while feeding and burping ds. But I don't post a lot because my hands are full.

Ds is 11 wks today. I was sooo hoping he'd be 8lbs this week but he was only 7 13. I am upping his supplemental formula even though I don't want to I have to get this little guy to grow more. It is so frustrating and I'm so upset. I have given up on pumping, I just can't handle the feeling of failure everytime I spend 1/2 hr pumping and have a 1/2oz or less to show for it. My consolation is that ds loves to nurse and I think he's still getting about 85% momma milk. I'm doing oatmeal and herbs and such too.

On the positive side, he's doing everything he should. He has the cutest toothless grin. He loves his big sister and smiles for her almost as much as he does for me and some days more. He's discovering his voice and I love our middle of the night talks.

Good luck to all of you taking road trips, I'm not nearly that brave, lol.

Packed up my maternity clothes into a big box destined for the basement today. Kind of bittersweet. I'm a little sad that it's fall & the summer of my first pregnancy is over.

Not that all of my pre-preg clothes fit, by the way!!! I'm wearing lots of my mom's clothes that are a size bigger!

Oh I wish!! I'm still wearing my maternity clothes and longing for the day I can fit into something even a size bigger! The maternity clothes are really weird looking without a proper belly to fill them out...

I'm so glad other mamas still aren't in their pre-preg clothes. By six weeks post-partum with DD#1 I was in normal clothes. I can't figue out what's up this time! Grrr. I hated my maternity clothes and got rid of them, so all I wear are yoga pants and t-shirts and two pairs of semi-dressy pants that have stretch so I can get them on. Ugh. It's so awful. I don't want to spend money on clothes for this stage, either, so I'm just sucking it up. I want to cry! I hate it! I feel like my stomach is made out of play-doh.

Aawww, this weekend my DD laughed! I was "eating" her feet and she let out a chuckle. She seems hard to amuse (and I didn't manage to get more than one laugh) so that laugh really made my week.

Anyone else laughing yet?

Pepperminx - I've got a giggler too. And he loves to gurgle and blow bubbles and coo and his face is just so expressive. What a little personality!

mamamilkers, etc. - I'm crossing my fingers that I can wear some of my pre-pregnancy pants in a month for our trip, but so far I can barely button the next to last button. I lost 4 pounds last week, but I still have a long way to go. And I REFUSE to go buy bigger clothing! So I'm still wearing shorts .

2 in August - If you'd rather do donor milk, MilkShare is almost free minus shipping and supplies. I'm so sorry your little guy is having such a hard time!

I have a giggler too especially for his sister.

I gave away all my maternity things, it was quite bittersweet. I am in my bigger jeans (and have been since about 6 weeks post.) I only have 2 pairs and won't buy anymore as I really want to be back in my smaller size soon.

Can any of you experiences mommas tell me how long it took for your flabby belly to tighten up?!?! For some reason I just can't stop obsessing about it! I know that I shouldnt fret, but I honestly can't help myself! I'm 7 weeks pp now and I swear my belly looks exactly the same as it did around 20 weeks preg. whats up?

Back from our trip, and I'm exhausted! Louis was an absolute ANGEL though. He was awesome in the car! I am such a lucky mama!

After #1 it took me about 4 weeks.
After #2 it took over a year.
After #3...well, let's say I still look 5 months pregnant with #1 : .
I know it will take time, and I find myself suddenly ravenous and then unable to resist eating too much when I'm home with the boys by myself for a few days and it halts any progress I've made. It will happen eventually (probably after I'm done having babies!), but it's very frustrating indeed.

Glad it went well! I hope Nate is a good traveler next month. I'll only be doing a 7 hour flight to europe by myself, and I won't have the other boys with me, so I'm sure it'll feel like a piece of cake no matter how it goes. But it's good to hear that you could manage FOUR kids yourself for that length of a trip!!

She rolled over! Yesterday (at 11 w, 6 d) she did a little flip flop from her belly to her back...and then promptly burst into tears! Aawwwww...it was so cute, and I was so proud. I had been all worried about her not getting enough belly time to roll over because I'm either holding her or she's in the sling 99% of the time. Yay baby!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Nate got his second tooth this morning. He'll be 3 months old tomorrow! Today he's wearing a little outfit with pumpkins & candy corn on it.

Ryan is an astronaut/Buzz Lightyear (he wanted to be just an astronaut, but we couldn't find a costume and I can't sew!)
A.J. is supposedly Eyeore, but he won't even try it on.

Anybody else dressing up their kids today?

J is a frog. Liam is a baby.
