And may I just say that I am frustrated! I don't care about the guess date for any purpose other than the fact that I don't know at what point my mw will be unable, according to NYS law, to attend me at home. I imagine it's after 42 weeks or something, so I am not concerned about that just yet.
What's driving me batty is my "prelabor" contractions!! This happened with my second baby, too - for nearly two weeks I had ctx regular enough and strong enough, and for HOURS each day, that I could time them and they would occasionally get closer and more intense over the hours... only to peter out. UGH!! For instance, Monday I had ctx beginning at about 1:30 pm and they got gradually closer together and stronger, so that by the evening they were about 9 min apart and gave me pause when they hit. Then around 9 pm they just quit.
Boo hoo, I know I'm not alone here but it does begin to frazzle the mind... every day you can't help but think "ok, THAT one kinda hurt, maybe today's the day!" and then there are a few more that kinda hurt, and since you KNOW you've got to go into actual, real labor one of these days you realize that one of these days you actually WILL be in labor, but apparently it's not "today" just yet.
I'm going mad, I tell you! Mad!
