I was at the pediatrician yesterday, as my 2 year old has given her 5 week old brother a bad cold. The doc looked at me holding Booker and said "Wow, the two of you are so connected!" I have found the last 5 weeks to be very challenging and this was such an affirmation to me that I was doing something right. I almost cried I was so gratified to hear it!

Anyone else have a surprising "a ha" moment recently?

Oh, those comments feel good huh? One of dh's female coworkers saw us at the YMCA and said - "You look fantastic and so put together, you were meant to be a mom."

It felt SO good to hear because inside I feel scrambled, exhausted, and overwhelmed.
