How Late is Late?

How many days past the scheduled start of your period before you admit you're late and pee on a stick?

We weren't trying, and while being pregnant wouldn't be bad, I'm nervous.

That depends on you. I've never been more then 3 days late. So, when I hit 4 days late, I tested. It was positive (with dd). With ds, I was a pg test junkie, and took them everyday starting at about 9 dpo. By the way, that's probably why you didn't get many replies, b/c most people on these boards test ALL OF THE TIME!!!!! I just bought my "CVS you-can-test-up-to-5-days-early- pg test" yesterday and plan on taking the tests starting Tuesday. (AF is due Sat.!) I can't help myself! I broken down and tested yesterday, five days later, although I was going to wait until Saturday, one week.

I am pregnant, but I kinda alreay knew. I'm like that.

Congratulations and Good luck! BTW, I also "knew" when I was pg with ds. i took 3 tests, which all came out negative, and I told my dh, "don't worry, I'll just take another one later, b/c I KNOW I'm pg." NO doubt in my mind. So, I waited another several days, took it, was positive... I knew it! I'm only 5 dpo this time, so I don't feel anything yet, but I'm waiting to see if I feel the same way or not next week.

Thanks. Although I was still geneuinely surprised. We weren't trying at all. I actually bought a test with two in the box so I could test again in a week. Now I don't know what to do with it.
