My ds is 15 mo and has been a great nurser. But now I am pregnant and my supply is gone. He is dry nursing (and it sometimes REALLY hurts) to fall asleep and for comfort. He get frustrated when he night wakes, so I bring a bottle of water to bed and we switch off between that and the breast. He's so little and neither of us are ready to wean, so I am wondering if any one has some good tips or ideas to help us along.

Ahh, nursing while pregnant. It's a journey for sure. First off, I have a lot of respect that you're continuing to nurse him. He is little and definitely needs whatever he can get from you.
With that said, it's different for every mama and you really have to figure out what's right for you.
Oftentimes, the dry nursing gets better after the first trimester and isn't so painful. Usually by the third trimester, you'll have gotten a pretty respectable amount of milk back, so that will help.
Have you read "Adventures in Tandem Nursing" by Hilary Flowers? If not, try to find a copy - it gave me really good perspective on what to expect out of both DS and myself.
The bottom line is that really, you have to do what works for both of you. Maybe instead of water at night, fill his cup with milk? That way he's not completely losing out on nutrients at night b/c even at that age, they're still getting a lot of calories and such from night nursing.
Hang in there, it usually gets better after awhile and after you've both had time to adjust to the new circumstances. I'm sure you're doing the absolute best you can and that's what you've got to do.
