Baby Xan was born after three hours of labour, at 6:08pm, underwater in the bathtub. Unassisted VBAC!
We don't have a scale so I had to call my LLL Leader and had her bring hers. It rounds, so it's not precise, but we can get within six or so ounces of actual weight. We tried three times to make absolutely sure it was right, because he came out looking pretty long and lean! It weighed him at 9lbs (so somewhere around very high eight, low nine, or in-between). This morning we measured him at 21 inches long.
The cord hasn't been cut yet, at this point I'm not sure if we're going to do lotus birth or not, it depends on how everything feels. We're salting and wrapping the placenta and swaddling him with it.
He has black hair and what looks like dark green eyes.
These pictures were from my friend's camera. She was supposed to photograph the birth but it happened so fast, she missed it! She ended up arriving about an hour after he was born.
