Baby's here!!

Baby was born on Monday, 02.10.06, at 16:18. I started getting contractions at 19:25 on Sunday night, and then a lot of stuff happened with DP (Or not DP as the case is now) and I only managed to get around two hours sleep, but I went into hospital at 08:30 on Monday morning and they decided to continue on with inducing me. After 3 attempts they managed to find a vein to put the IV line into, then they broke my waters at 10:00, the contractions got worse and worse until they were unbearable and I was exhausted and had to be physically held up, and the inducing drug they used was making me throw up which I don't think helped much, then my midwife examined me just before 16:00 and I was only 4cms dialated so they put me into a warm bath, and about 3 mins after I felt like I needed to push and turned out in that short amount of time I had dialated the rest of the 6cms..! And then (While still being held up) with 8 and a half mins of pushing baby came out!!! I had no pain releif and tore quite badly so I had to have stitches and have done some kind of damage to my tailbone. I spent the majority of my labour crying due to exhaustion and being upset, but thankfully my Mother and one of my really good friends came to be with me through it. I ashamably haven't thought of a name for her yet. Me and DP were going to call her Arya, but I don't know if I feel right about that now after everything... So she's still only called baby, or beautiful as I seem to be calling her.... I've come to stay at my Mothers house after staying 3 days in hospital because I'm unable to walk very far without almost passing out, and moving just about anywhere is incredibly painful, but I'm slowly healing. So the overall experience wasn't so pleasant, BUT she is the most amazing beautiful thing I have ever laid my eyes on, I didn't think I would ever be capable of loving something this much. So through all of that I got the most amazing gift, shes so well behaved and peaceful despite her chaotic entry. Now I just need to give her a name...!!!

Congratulations! She really is beautiful. I remember feeling like I had been beaten up after my dd was born, too. Your body will heal- just take it easy. I'm glad to hear you can stay with your mom instead of being alone or with your partner.

Thanks everyone Things aren't hurting as badly now... Still killing me but I feel a bit better. My name also means Beautiful, so maybe I should keep with trend and name her something that means that too
