the view today!!! - Page 6

You know, they have gone down this road before, and I have to say that at this point I figure they are just out for controversy and ratings. They probably need the public draw because their ratings are falling or something like that. They know they are wrong. In my opinion they are simply baiting the public.

And why oh why are any of you watching that show anymore anyway after the last couple of breastfeeding controversies? Not that it was worth watching before that anyway, a bunch of rich, over-botoxed, over-paid, poorly educated and crude women. : Just walk away!!! Your time is worth tons more than anything you can gain from that show.

I don't watch, but I'm not above poking them with a stick when they get out of line. Of course, I never watched but it didn't stop me from protesting last summer.

I decided to email them all using the links at abc.com.

I will not be watching the show "The View" until I have finished breastfeeding my children. As I am not yet pregnant with my first, plan to have three children, and hope to practice child-led weaning, this should be sometime after the year 2020. In all probability by that time you will have matured sufficiently to see breastfeeding as merely a way to feed infants instead of a prurient display of flesh or will be on other projects so I will, regrettably, not be seeing any of your comments against breastfeeding.
ETA: Not that I've ever seen the View *before* now

I care what they say because like it or not people listen to them. Idiots that they are, they reach A LOT of America. Their negative attitudes and misinformation hurt children.

Ooo, I just had a lovely idea about the View. See, it's pretty clear now that they're *trying* to get attention and publicity from making disparaging breastfeeding remarks. But they are actually uncomfortable with breastfeeding. So instead of a nurse-in, instead, how about some mamas just happen to be outside the studio just coincidentally at the same time the Viewites are going to/leaving from work? Now it is heading into winter so being really "indiscreet" would be difficult, but some advocacy wear would probably make up the difference.

And then, if asked, the mamas would reply "Is that a show? I really don't have time to watch television. They said something bad about breastfeeding? Then they really should look at (insert list of resources here)"

No publicity, just continual exposure to breastfeeding *every* *single* *day*. :
