She was born at 7:05 this morning after 6 hours of labor (but only 1/2 hour felt

I went into the doctor yesterday for my weekly check-up and was feeling great! Since I was only 38 weeks along, she asked if I wanted to have my cervix checked, and I said "sure" (just for shits and giggles). I was already dilated to 5! I couldn't feel anything.
My MW asked me to come back in an hour for another check to see if I was actually getting ready. An hour later, I was 1 more cm along. She directed me to the hospital, and when I got there, I was already to 8cm! Still no contractions. They had me walk around for a little while to try to get contractions started, and about 10 minutes later, there they were, about 5 minutes apart. When they got to be 2 minutes apart, they got really bad, and so I asked for an epidural because I am a first-class wimp.

about 5 hours after all that happened, she had been almost crowning for 4 1/2 hours and so they decided to use a vacuum. Within 2 minutes after that, she was completely out and in my arms. She is so great!! Pictures to come.
