Domperidone affecting moods? Feeling like PPD, need help.

I have been taking domperidone for several weeks now and for the past few weeks have been experiencing symptoms of post partum depression, so I'm wondering if it could be the drug or if it's just coincidence. I tried going off the dom and immediately lost my milk supply again, so I'm back on it.
But now I'm afraid after all I've done to get my milk supply back I'm going to have to choose between breastfeeding and sanity. Has anyone had any experience with this?

I'm sorry you are feeling down! I don't know if domperidone has mood side effects. I have been taking it for 8 months and I didn't notice a change in my moods when I took it. It could be a co incidence. Especially if you are going through stress of losing your supply and worrying about feeding your lo. That in and of itself could lead to some mood problems.

I hope you are feeling better soon! Don't hesitate to talk to your doc about it, it is a very real problem and there are things that can help!
