Raynauds

Along with mastitis, I've also noticed raynauds coming back with the colder weather. Does anyone have any suggestions on dealing with that??

(Raynauds is when your nipples get cold and contract- makes nursing quite painful....even proper sucking feels like babe is gnawing on your nipple...incase you didn't know)

I was thinking of making some rice things (where you fill material with rice or barley or whatever then microwave it to warm them) to help keep them toasty when I'm out and about.

With my Raynauds, it helps to try and keep ALL of my extremities warm. If it helps, try running hands under warm water often. Warm socks. The less your body gets the 'omg I'm freezing to death' message, the less likely your overactive 'omg send all the blood to the gut' reflex will kick in.

Nipples are just another extremity as far as your body is concerned. So hopefully if you can keep the body's (over)reaction from happening, you'll avoid the nipple problem.

As far as diet goes, I haven't come across anything that has helped it for me.
