Any exciting developments?

Spike is totally trying to stand up. He's like 5.5 weeks, so he's got a good while before he can make anything of it, but he's been pushing himself up into a standing position since like week 3.

Then! Today I was giving him some gripe water because he was griping, and I give it to him in little squirts because otherwise it drools out of his mouth. So in between each squirt he swallows and looks like all soothed by it, and I was saying "Ahhhh" each time he did the swallow thing. Well then he said "Ahhhh" back to me! He'd never said "Ahhh" before, and I swear it wasn't a coincidence. So cool.

Nate is totally trying to talk back to me. He repeats my mouth movements and copies vowel sounds and mouths mama and then smiles all proudly. It happens all the time, so I can't believe it's a coincidence either. I've never had a baby try to communicate this way so early. And it's adorable!
Of course he's really much slower than my other boys physically, but then again he was born at 37.5 weeks (instead of 40.5 and 43.5 like his big brothers). A.J. stood up at birth and held his held steady, and never backtracked. Nate is still struggling to get the head control thing downpat. But he's just such a social guy, it's wonderful. I love that even though I have 3 boys they're all so very different.

Aria has been holding her own head up since like the end of the first week. And she babbles ALL the time. My doctor couldn't get over it! She asked if I was sure she wasn't 5 months old instead of 5 weeks! She is a HOOT! She is more alert and focused than I have ever seen in a newborn. It weirds people out. The motormouth definately comes from my side of the family!

Booker is totally cooing and aahing. He is much more alert, makes a lot of eye contact and is holding his head up very well. The most exciting thing is last night he was making the movements to try and turn over. He can get his upper body turned, just can't get his big diaper booty and legs over yet. I expect it will be quite a while, but I was so surprised to see it! DD didn't officially get herself consistently turned over until she was 4 months.

Aaaah, the little smiles and coos. And she has turned into a wild woman to sleep with. The last few nights have been a little restless for us b/c she gets her self unswaddled and starts flailing all 4-limbs and wacking mom in the face! It's not that exciting at the time.... ....but! She's also refused her nursie during those times, too and didn't get upset! Guess she's just enjoying her freedom of movement.

And she doesn't poop at night so much. Love that!

I love Luna's big smiles and of course when she sings to us. that voice is something else!!

She has been trying to sit up in her carseat and bouncer all of the time lately. And she has discovered how to use her hands and get them to her mouth. About 20 times a day, I find her grabbing the edge of her blanket and stuffing it into her mouth. She prefers her left hand and will often slurp on it when she is awake.

YES! Spencer rolled over this weekend-four times! I had him on his tummy and he rolled each way twice. I'm so proud-he's only 8 weeks. DS 1 didn't roll until 3 1/2 months... Of course, it was just front to back. Back to front will be a while, I imagine. It was a great moment though-I was excited to see it.

I love the little coo's Kienan has also been communicating and copying mouth movements and sticking out tongue. I have found him rolled over against me a couple of times, guess when he is hungry he can roll
He is so alert and loves to look around.

The bad side is he will not comfort nurse, he just screams and quickly gets frantic this is so different from my daughter
