Thank You!!!

Thank you thank you thank you for all of your support!! I can not tell you how much I appreciate it and I am so thankful!!! Thank you!!! Thank you to julie128, Lisoula, Serrendipity, mamalisa, eepster, lisa49, stockingup99, and Ileifa ! Just thinking about weaning makes me very sad and I am so thankful for all your support!!!

I am still in extreme pain! OUCH!! I went to a nurse practitioner early this morning and she prescribed 200mg diflucan for 5 days and she told me to try some grapefruit seed extract and vitamin E. I am SO keeping my fingers crossed to get back to painfree bonding time!! Not to mention the hours of shooting pain that I have for hours afterward.

I am definitely going to EDUCATE my docs as soon as I am better!!! Hopefully this never has to happen to anyone again under their care!

Ileifa ~ thank you so much for sharing the information with me! I will email her today! THANK YOU!

Thank you mamalisa for checking up on me too!!!

Many Blessings !!! Rachel

Just an FYI - according to my Hale book, the dose of Diflucan from your NP may not be sufficient. He recommends a 200-400mg loading dose, then 100-200mg daily for a MINUMUM of 2-3 WEEKS.

I think this might be the time to file a complaint. It can't be okay for them to deny you standard care! Even if you did wean, you'd still have thrush!

That article includes 21 "points to consider" about 3/4 of the way down. Probably the most common mistake made in treating thrush (after not treating mother AND baby) is not continuing treatment for long enough.
