Becoming more active

Thread Starter
Hello

I have realized that no one in my area knows very much about breastfeeding and frankly are not supportive of it. This REALLY upsets me!

I have looked up online how to become a certified consultant and it looks like it takes three years of schooling. I would be willing to go through it but I know that I can not afford it right now or have the time.

Is there other things that I can do to help support breastfeeding????

Thank you!!! ~ Rachel

Yes!
Join LLL, or start a chapter if there isn't one near you (unlikely though)
NIP as much as possible
teach your children and other children around you that BFis normal and natural
Get involved in nurse-ins, three minute activist, etc.

Good for you!
