Help! 18mo chipped front tooth! All dentists are closed!

It's a holiday weekend so all the dentists offices are closed! Now what? She fell last night and I noticed a huge chip out of one of her front teeth! What do I do? She doesn't seem to be in pain but she does keep putting her hands in her mouth and saying, "Ouch - teeth."

Is she normally pretty good about acting hurt when she's hurt, or do you think that she might be ignoring the pain so that she can do other things? If you're pretty sure it's not hurting her, then I think it could wait. They'll probably just file down any rough edges. But if she's saying "ouch teeth" because they hurt, then I would certainly call the dentist. If you're in doubt, call up the normal office number and see if they give an emergency number to call...maybe it wouldn't be a big deal for them to see her on a holiday. Sorry you have to worry about this My babe has a chipped tooth too, but because of decay. It makes for some cute pictures, but I'd rather his teeth be okay.

this happend to my ds and nephew at that age.
Take her on Monday they will smooth down the teeth if there are rough edges and xray to make sure she didn't push the teeth up = it could affect growth of upper teeth so it has to be seen and delt with but not emergency asap type thing.
