Does the pain from yeast on the nipples remain constant?

Hello ~

I have another yeast on the breast question.... so sorry... I am in so much pain and trying so hard to figure it out. If I had yeast in or on my breasts, would the pain be constant? The reason I ask is because I am using the nystatin on both nipples and in my son's mouth. However, I will have a pain free feeding and then a few hours later I will have a very painful feeding shooting pain and vasospasms. Has anyone else experienced this on-off pain?

Thank you SO much!! Rachel

yeast

most likely you have yeast inside the milk duct. So your choices are:
diflucan (5 day treatment) and/ or NO sugars of any kind for 10 days including natural sugars, honey fruit, anything tht feeds the yeast.
It is a BEAR but this is what I have had to do, I did the 5 day treatment, and now I have to abstain from any sugar.
I noticed that after I eat ANYTHING sweet, (even honey) I will get the stabbing pain within an hour or so.

Good luck!

Poor you. I feel your pain! Be aware that if it is yeast, you may need diflucan for more than 5 days. Dr.Jack Newman recommends taking it for one after all symptoms are gone (so usually at least two weeks). If you can't get diflucan, you can try GSE (see www.drjaygordon.com for dosages etc.), diet and probiotics. I have Raynaud's which I think was initially caused by poor latch and yeast and I do have the same on and off stabbing pains, although the nipples are sore 24/7.

Good luck!
