Thanks for that. My brother is addicted to drugs, and it is hard just being around him. He drinks and gets mean, and it's really hard for me to be around him, it's just emotionally draining. But I don't want to just abandon him (by not wanting to be around him). He's so sensitive, and that's the worst thing I could do, for him and probably for myself too.
I'm also a HUGE stickler for not interfering with someone else's will.
I will use a phrase like the one you posted. Thanks.
