I run a Montessori Academy through a public charter school in southern California. The school is unique, in that the students attend school 3 days and home school 2 days. On their at home days, they participate in community service, research projects, and so forth.
I am looking for a teacher for next year, for my 9-12 class. The current teacher's husband is being transferred to the east coast, and since we know this now, I'm trying to get a head start (as it is SO hard to find 9-12 teachers!).
The job is full time, and salary is around 45k/year. The teachers are available on their off days to guide and counsel parents as to what things they can do with their children on their at home days. In addition, a teacher will sponsor a field trip or going out activity once every 2 months, on an "at home" day. We offer parent education and parent workshops to families. We are only in our second year, have a waiting list, and the program is wonderful.
