Found out 4 days ago that we are having a girl. I am really sad about it and can't wrap my mind around it at all. I sooo wanted another boy and dh just expected it to a boy. I feel like the biggest b word in the world for feeling this way of course. I'm sure I will get more excited once I start getting girlie clothes and all. She is healthy as far as the u/s could tell so that I am thankful for.

I felt the same way (in reverse!) when I found out we were having a boy. I never, ever pictured myself as the mother of sons. I was so ready for a sweet little baby girl, and could picture her as a toddler and going off to school. I actually cried during the ultrasound when I found out it was a boy! It took me a few days, but now I'm excited about having a boy, and raising him to be the kind of man my DH is. there are too few guys like him around

I made it through the exam but as soon as we got to the car I lost it crying my eyes out saying I want a boy over and over. Life throws us curve balls right?

Well. . we were not going to find out. . .but I caved and we did. Then we were not going to tell but then I told DD (and then foolishly asked her if she could keep it a secret). She said she could but I don't think she's refrained from telling anyone. . basically stopping strangers on the street to say.

"We saw a penis in the picture of the baby in mommy's belly. I'm going to have a baby brother."

She cracks me up.

I figure the cat is totally out of the bag.

Another vote for Girl here! I totally expected a boy, so I was thrown for a loop! It'll take me a little while to wrap my brain around all of this!!

I was wanting to find out but then I decided to wait. I really don't care any more. I figure that I will buy some nuteral colors just in case and about 3-4 weeks after the baby is born we will have a welcoming party. If the baby is a boy then everyone can feel free to bring boy stuff, if not then what ever.

Wow -- I was really thinkin' it was a girl this time, what with symptoms being different, and my hypothesis on what the date of conception was, but nope -- another boy! Apparantly my dh (and his dad, and his dad's dad) only make one chromosome!

Ah well, I'll have to knit my pink outfits for the holiday helpers thread, huh!

Another boy for us! My dd cried when she found out, she was sooo sure she was getting a sister, but she is excited now. She runs around saying "I have two brothers, I have two brothers!"

And ds is thrilled, too. Our good friends have three girls (first boy on his way in a couple weeks!) So up until now he hasn't had any little guy friend to play with when we get together. He is way excited to get a brother.

I just realized I never did this poll. But it was really up in the air whether we would do a us, we didn't. Though I am really thinking girl, only a few more weeks and we will find out
