Help! My 21 mo old has extensive cavities in the front (top) of his mouth. He may lose 2 teeth. A third may need to be capped.

We have three significant cases of autism in DHs side of the family - our nephew is very severe.

I am aware of using compositive versus amalgam (mercury) fillings, but as I investigate caps, I am not sure what to think. I asked if there were tooth colored caps. So far all I have found is tooth colored on the front of the cap with stainless steel on the back. Would the stainless steel be bad????

Are there any other options?

Thanks!
