I need birthlove.com

Is it just my connection or is birthlove.com down? Are there any other resources for 44+ week UBAC support? Does anyone know what happened? I hope everything is OK

It's been down for a while and so far I haven't heard why, or when it will be back up. I really miss it!!!!

OMG!!! I was *just* about to post this thread! Where is Birthlove? What happened. Okay, I know you don;t have the answers, but I am missing it, and need 10+ month mama support. I need to stop worrying about decreased VBAC chances, mec, and stillbirth with postdates! I need to remember my body isn't broken for labor and that this is a normal gestation.

Leihlah, where oh where are you?!?!?!

Why would anyone want to hack that site?

It doesn't look good. I can't even get anything to come up with Google's cache feature.

I won't post contact information here, but you can easily look it up by going to networksolutions.com, clicking on the WHOIS link down towards the bottom, and typing in birthlove.com - it provides technical contact, including an e-mail address, although the e-mail address provided is a birthlove.com address, and the IP address currently assigned to birthlove.com is 1.1.1.1, which is wrong. So I'm guessing e-mail won't get there.

As for hacking... Websites chosen by hackers are not usually chosen based on content, but instead are chosen based on how easy it is to hack them. For example, if they're running a particular piece of software (content management system, bulletin board, etc.) and that software hasn't been updated for the latest security fixes, hackers will look for sites running that version of the software and hack it.

There are some right up people out there and yes they do hack these sorts of sites unfortunately, me and my dp have a baby site and it was hacked by loads, luckily now its sorted but i couldn't bellieve it when he showed me how long the list of people trying to hack us was

I've heard it's gone. Laurie Morgan's is another site I miss

I've got some resources for postdates pregnancy saved if anyone would like them although obviously my links to birthlove won't work Does plussize have anything? It's another very good site.

I honestly don't think they'd take it down, or the message would be a 404 message; or they'd have the URL for sale. Based on what happens when you visit the link, I think they are probably having server problems (may take up to a week to get back on their feet). Check back every now and then.

Hope your site comes back for you!

You can go to www.archive.org and type in the website and get some pages. You probably can't access member pages, though.

I'm super bummed as well!!!

When I noticed the site was down for longer than usual, I sent Gloria Lemay an email (through a link on her website) and she didn't know why the site was down. I just checked Gloria's "Links" page and Birthlove is no longer listed....

You don't think the site's down for financial reasons, do you? I know I'd be willing to pay more than the $35 one time membership fee if that's what it'd take to get the site back up...

Has anyone tried sending Leilah snail mail???

I hope it's okay... I bought a lifetime subscription a few days after my son died and reading all the UBAC articles and stories really inspired confidence in me to be able to do it when I unexpectedly became pregnant a few weeks later...

Unfortunately Leilah has a bit of a reputation for not returning email
I have not spoken to her in many years.

If your looking for Joyful birth league information.. aka Laurie Morgans old website I have much of her material stored for our Cbirth archives. If you wanted something specific I could send it to you.

Hi, I would love to take a look at what you have. I was so encouraged by the 10-Month Mama page during my last pregnancy, when I went to 43 weeks. Now, at 44+ weeks, I could use a little pick-me-up in that department.
