i just got off the phone with one of our birth centers...I think maybe the only one around here, and they will have thier new one done Mid march 2007!
I had crossed them off my list of places to deliver because currently they only have one private room, and the rest of the rooms there is a 90% chance you will be laboring and delivering and recovering with another mom or 2 in your room, which I will not do! The new one will have all private rooms where you will labor, deliver and recover!
And she said they are very supportive of VBACs and my OB does go there so come late March I will go tour the place and see if thats where I will be going.
I wont go back to the place I delivered the twins...they moved the L&D unit and now the rooms are smaller, without showers and because of the area of the hospital its in they dont like the pregant woman walking the hallways (disruptive to other patients)....plus I had enough of these crabby nurses when I was PG with the twins to last me a lifetime...also they do support VBACs but they will only allow it if thier NICU/nursery has room in case there is a problem, or a c/sec is needed again....not what I want!
