sourdough question ( to make many loaves)

Thread Starter
I know this has probably been asked, but I cannot seem to find an answer by searching,
I plan to start my own sourdough starter after I get rye and grind it. Hopefully tomarrow. We have 7 children. I want to make a LARGE amount of bread at a time... Does anyone have a large recipe? So I could make 10 loaves ( or more) at a time? should I make more starter to begin with?
Thank you for any help

Hi -

To make more loaves, I think you could just multiply the sourdough recipe in the NT book (currently, It's for 3 loaves)... so if you times 3 then you'll have 9 ! As for more starter, I think yes, you should also make more.

Good Luck !
