HPV Commercial....Coincidence?

All of a sudden I'm seeing this HPV commercial on TV over and over and over. It talks about how you most cases of cervical cancer are caused by HPV, and it has the whole "tell someone about HPV" line.

I'm just thinking about how maybe its them trying to educate (ha!) before they start their scare with the vaccine because I've never heard it talked about before.

Marketing in progress, no mention of the vaccine, just like the rotavirus ads.

And then suddenly the magic bullet will be available, a wonderful new vaccine, that can prevent these horrible ills.

Create a need,

and then fill it.

Au contraire! It is very clever. They are in the business of selling drugs and are doing a terrific job.

You will even see it in sitcoms, on talk shows, in the news, etcetera. All is bought and controlled by big pharma.

Ugh I know I keep seeing those too. It's funny I knew about HPV in 2002; I had a cancer scare right before I got pregnant with my second child and they were testing me for it. But now all of the sudden it's all gung-ho, tell someone! just because there's a vax for it.

Yup, no one really needed to be aware UNTIL there was a vaccine available.

No one wanted to spend any money on an advertising campaign until it would be lucrative in return.
