If you've got a copy of NT around I believe there are actually directions on how to do that in there. Something about pickling lime (?) and water in a jar... Anyways, don't take my word for it w/out looking it up!

I'm bumping this up because I have a somewhat correlary question. I'm reading Nina Planck's "Real Food" and she talks about soaking corn in water w/baking soda vs lime. What's the thought...will this work the same?
