accommodating doctors

Thread Starter
My daughter has a 10 month old and is still on the fence about vaccinations. I tried to schedule a well baby visit for them and told the nurse she wanted to discuss vaccination options. she told me the baby would need to be vaccinated according to their schedule and if we were not willing to do that to not even bother coming in. So he has not seen a Dr yet. He has had several visits from her midwife and is doing well but I am wondering if and how to find a more accommodating Dr. Thanks

I found our doctor by recommendation of mamas in the tribal area for the state I live in. I would try posting there for help with a doctor who is accommodating.

Or find a GP who does well baby visits.
GP's don't really care so much, and often don't even stock vaxes in their offices. Ours told us to just go to the health dept. whenever we wanted to start vaxing.

Another method is to just sit down with a phone book and call ped after ped asking "Do you take unvaccinated children as patients?".

I second that suggestion to go to the Finding Your Tribe forum. I found a local Yahoo mamas group. Not only did I find like-minded moms locally, but they gave me great recommendations to a ped, homeopathic md, o/b who is amazing, a doula and midwives. Oh, and a great chiropractor!
