Do you have to feel NOT PREGNANT to get the BFP???

I am just hoping to get an answer from all you pregnant ladies!

Congratulations by the way!

I was just wondering, it seems on the TTC threads, the ones who always get the BFPs are always saying things like "this month I don't feel any symptoms" or "I am feeling at peace this month, don't really know why" etc. I am wondering, if ANY of you got a BFP even after fretting over your chart for the month and feeling excited and anticipating the testing, etc. If not, then I better count this month out for me too! as I am already fretting on 3 DPO.

I was very peacful and not stressed the month I got my BFP. I also didn't have any symptoms except tiredness and sore breasts about 8 DPO. Every other month I had a whole list of symptoms and nothing!

Last month was actuall the first month we started trying and I didn't know chart my temp until after I O'ed. A week later, my sense of smell was more senstitive, which normally I don't smell anything unless it is right under my nose and I nearly fainted twice. I was not under and unusual stress.

Good Luck!!

Well, dh and I had been trying for about 9 cycles. I had an early mc last cycle and was sort of "sitting out" September since we had a lot af family functions that would sort of prevent DTD during the optimal window. Well, we dtd twice during the whole blasted month of September (yeah, I know...but first dh was sick, then dd was sick, then I was sick, and we had family functions every three or four days all month long!).

Anyway, here I am, almost 6 weeks along! And although I've obsessed over ever little twinge in previous months this time I was just letting things go. Right up to the bfp.

But good luck mama...no matter how you feel!

Well, we had been ttc for 2 years- so I've had months I was really up and excited and anxious and months I was sure we weren't. This month when I got the BFP, I guess I was somewhere in the middle. I felt like it was a possibility but after so many negative months I wasn't willing to get all excited about every little twinge, I waited until 14 dpo to test, but by day 10 post-O I was really excited.

Somehow I do think its a little easier to get the + when you aren't feeling stressed about it- but I don't know why that is.

Congrats to all of you and OTMomma after two years! Great news. Thanks for the boost, I am glad to here you were excited at 10 dpo. I am feeling not as anxious today, I am feeling more calm today and not getting overexcited as it is so frustrating. I am already thinking about next month and possibly giving it a break to take a mental month off.
