Any contractions are meaningful really. They are exercising your uterus to get it ready. So it does mean something... just what... who knows lol. No way to really know what is going on really.

I think a lot of times you will end up having a shorter labor because your body has already done a lot of the work beforehand though.

Where are your contractions located and what to do they feel like?

I think I'll start checking in here too! I'm late Oct. early Nov. so I just didn't know back then and joined Nov. I'm feeling much like you all are...I work evenings 5-10 and just don't even want to be here right now - tired and slightly swollen ankles even though I walk regularly and drink tons of water!

I recently started taking evening primrose oil - a friend who is a doula said that in the last few weeks it really helps the cervix thin and dilate. I'm a first time mom - I feel like it's so strange to just not know if it will be 3 more days or 3 weeks!!! I'm happy that I am able to still work and feel so good all things considered but I'm frustrated too!!!

Well...I am "due" October 28th soooooo...I probably will be one of the last ones!!! I mistakenly thought the pre term labor would cause her to come out early but she seems to be pretty comfy in there! Don't worry - we'll all mee tour babes soon!

I'll be checking! I'm still hanging out here. I have about a week left befor ehte "due" date. But i'm not holding my breath! Although teh last 2 days I've had constant contractions, 10 minutes apart, and lots of yucky bloody mucusy ischarge 9which is normal i guess, according ot teh nurse!) back pain and cramping ALL Day and nothing! Oh and I feel liek I'm goin to hurl any second, and nothing is appealing and the toilet is now my best friend again. (How many bowel movementscan one person have in a day!! I know TMI! but Seriously! )
So I'll be checking even after baby is born, hope we are all holding littel babes soon! !

I was 3 cm dilated before going into labor with dd, I had a 19 hour labor. I tell myself that it probably would of been much longer had I not had those extra cm before.

My EDD is 10-31, dd was born at 38 weeks, I'm 37 now. I had thought that baby was coming earlier vs later, I've had constant cramping and diarrhea for the last 3+ weeks. : But who knows, it'll come when it's ready.

Yes. That *did* happen to me last time! I was due on the 5th of the month and didn't give birth til the 26th! I really was one of the last few to go.

due oct 23rd - no bh so far today or yesterday and i can't remember the day before that.

had some horrid sciatic pain this morning and am now having just annoying, non-bh pains.

Hello again! SInce my water reseale dI am still here as well - and now everyone knows my water broke and I have massive phone messages and e-mails asking if I've had the baby...and people are beginning to stop me on the street and ask when I'm due...:
